A few recent pours from around the High Desert.

Based in Yucca Valley and serving the entire Morongo Basin.
Concrete in the Morongo Basin has to deal with conditions most of Southern California never sees. Summer highs push past 100 degrees, winter nights drop below freezing at higher elevations, spring winds scour everything, and late-summer monsoon storms can send water across a lot in minutes. The ground itself is often loose sand or decomposed granite. Dig Deep Concrete builds every project with those conditions in mind.
The most important part of any concrete job is the part you never see. We clear soft material, compact the base, set grade for drainage and place the right reinforcement before a single yard of concrete arrives. That prep is the difference between a slab that stays flat for decades and one that cracks and settles in a few years.
Every project is different. Price depends on square footage, thickness, reinforcement, site prep, access for the truck or pump, the finish you choose and whether old concrete needs to be removed. Remote lots and hillside sites may need extra equipment. We give every customer a free on-site estimate with an itemized written quote, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
From the driveway and front steps to the backyard patio, pool deck, shop slab and retaining walls, we handle concrete work for every part of a desert property. Homeowners, vacation rental owners, builders and property managers across Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, Landers, Pioneertown and Johnson Valley call us when they want it done right.
Ask how the contractor will prepare the base, how thick the slab will be, what reinforcement they plan to use, where control joints will go and how they will cure the concrete in the heat. Get the quote in writing. A good contractor will answer all of these without hesitation. We are happy to walk you through every step.

You can usually walk on new concrete after 24 to 48 hours and drive passenger vehicles on a driveway after about 7 days. Heavy trucks, RVs and equipment should wait until the concrete reaches design strength, typically around 28 days. We will give you specific timing for your project.
All concrete shrinks as it cures, and some hairline cracking is normal. We cut control joints at the right spacing so cracks happen in straight lines where they are planned, and we build on a compacted base with reinforcement to keep cracks tight and the slab level.
Yes. In summer we start pours early in the morning, dampen the base, finish quickly and cure the slab properly so the surface does not dry out too fast. Heat is a fact of life here; it just has to be managed.
Yes. We offer stamped patterns, colored concrete, exposed aggregate, smooth troweled borders and board-formed finishes for walls and steps.
Sealing is recommended for stamped and colored concrete and helps any slab resist stains and dust. In our UV-heavy climate, decorative concrete typically needs resealing every couple of years.
Yes. Estimates are free, on site and come with a written, itemized quote. There is no obligation.
It depends on size, thickness, reinforcement, site prep, access, finish and whether old concrete needs to be removed. Remote lots and hillside work may need a pump. We price every job individually and break it down so you can see where the money goes.
